Kubota Problems Please Help Already Been Scammed By Mechanic Once!?
ok so my grandfather has a kubota riding mower (not sure what model) it wasnt starting so he took it to a local shop that sells and repairs about every different model of kubota. they charged him $400 and when he got it home it did start but now the mower will not engage whenever he tries the fuse blows. he is convinced that the mechanic did something to it so he would have to come back and spend more money. I am inclined to agree, he takes very good care of his things and is always up on maintenance and before this incident the tractor ran and mowed like a dream. we are both very mechanically inclined but i only now cars and he is not familiar with the newer electronics on newer tractors. any advice on where to look or if there is a part that goes bad on kubotas that cause this or anything the mechanic could have tweaked to cause this problem would be greatly appreciated. (the blades turn freely so there not stuck or anything) could the magnetic clutch have just crapped out?

yes the electric clutch is bad , the wires that go inside to the magnetic field ring are shorted out , if the mechanic did any thing he may crossed a wire [ possable ] , and blew the coil inside the clutch, depending on how many hours the tractor , [ 250 ] or more , i have seen clutches go out in any and all types of tractors with that many hrs or less .
